Gokseong-gun, Please Join the Hometown Love Donation Program Together
‘Give the Gift of Pediatrics’ Project Promotion
Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) promoted the Hometown Love Donation System and the ‘Gift a Pediatrics’ project to returning visitors at Gokseong Station on the 9th, in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.
On this day, county officials wore doctor’s coats and attached prescription stickers made to encourage participation in the Hometown Love Donation to apple juice bottles, which they distributed to returning visitors. This event greatly improved awareness of donation activities among many visitors and residents.
The pediatrics project ‘Gift a Pediatrics’ is a program aimed at expanding the infrastructure of private pediatric and adolescent clinics, which are lacking in rural areas.
Through this, home visits within Gokseong and advance reservations at pediatric and adolescent clinics in nearby cities will become possible, and consultation fees will be offered at half price to improve medical accessibility.
Donors who wish to participate in this project can donate to Gokseong-gun via Hometown Love e-Eum or the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation.
After completing the donation, participation is finalized by selecting ‘Pediatrics Designated Donation Only’ in the thank-you gift mall.
A Gokseong-gun official said, “We have prepared paper gift certificates and Gokseong Mall online coupons as thank-you gifts so that donors participating in the Hometown Love Donation System can easily purchase local specialties. We hope many people join in revitalizing the region and receive high-quality local specialties.”
Additionally, Gokseong-gun plans to introduce the ‘Gokseong Love Friend Recommendation’ system.
By promoting the Hometown Love Donation System, if an actual donation is made to Gokseong-gun, the recommenders of the donors will be given special benefits such as gift certificates or coupons equivalent to up to 10% of the donation amount.
The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate to local governments other than their hometown or current residence, and the local government receiving the donation uses it for resident welfare improvement projects.
Donors receive a full tax deduction for donations up to 100,000 won and can receive thank-you gifts valued at 30% of the donation amount.
