View original imageLee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea, will depart on the 13th to attend the '59th SEACEN Governors' Conference' and the '43rd SEACEN Centre Board of Governors Meeting' held in Mumbai, India. Governor Lee is scheduled to complete his three-day itinerary starting from the 14th and return on the 17th.
SEACEN stands for South East Asian Central Banks, a cooperative organization established in 1966 among central banks in Southeast Asia to exchange information and opinions, conduct research, and provide training activities to develop experts.
The cooperative consists of a total of 19 countries, including China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and India. South Korea joined in 1990.
Governor Lee will participate in the conference to discuss with central bank governors of member countries under the theme "Navigating Economic Headwinds and Advancing Financial Inclusion: Perspectives and Challenges." He will also attend the SEACEN Centre Board of Governors Meeting to engage in discussions related to the operation of the Centre.
