Yongin City to Provide 100,000 Won Admission Preparation Fund to New Elementary, Middle, and High School Students
Payment with local currency... Support for purchasing school supplies and books
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province provides an entrance preparation fund of 100,000 KRW per student to families with children entering elementary, middle, and high schools within the city.
The entrance preparation fund program began in 2022 to alleviate the financial burden on parents for purchasing school supplies such as stationery and books.
The city distributes the entrance preparation fund through Yongin local currency, Yongin Y-Pay. Eligible recipients are students who have registered their residence in Yongin City as of the school entrance date (March 4).
Applications can be submitted from March 11 to 29 by the student's parent or a guardian registered on the resident registration together, via the 'Government24 (Subsidy24)' website.
If the addresses of the eligible student and the applicant differ, the student’s resident registration certificate issued after March 4, a certificate of enrollment indicating the grade, and a family relationship certificate must be submitted in person at the nearest Eup, Myeon, or Dong administrative welfare center.
