During the Seollal holiday period from the 9th to the 12th, if you need urgent financial transactions such as exchanging new bills or currency exchange, you can use the mobile branches of major banks located at highway rest areas and flexible branches installed at airports.
According to the banking sector on the 9th, major commercial banks such as KB Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, Hana Bank, Woori Bank, and NongHyup Bank will operate mobile and flexible branches for returning home travelers and tourists during the Seollal holiday. At the mobile branches, financial services such as exchanging new bills and transfers via ATMs are available.
NongHyup Bank will operate mobile branches from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 8th and 9th at the NongHyup Seongnam Distribution Center and Hanam Dream Rest Area on the Jungbu Expressway to provide financial convenience for customers returning home for Seollal.
The NongHyup Bank mobile branch vehicle, called 'NH Wings,' is equipped with financial terminals and automated teller machines (ATMs), providing on-the-go financial services without location constraints. Various financial services such as withdrawing and exchanging new bills and account transfers are available.
Shinhan Bank will operate a mobile branch at Hwaseong Rest Area (downbound) on the Seohaean Expressway until 4 p.m. on the same day, while Hana Bank will operate until 5 p.m. at Yangjae Mannam Plaza Rest Area (downbound), Woori Bank until 5 p.m. at Manghyang Rest Area (Busan direction), and NongHyup Bank until 4 p.m. at two locations: NongHyup Seongnam Distribution Center and Hanam Dream Rest Area on the Jungbu Expressway, providing services to returning travelers.

Specialized branches for travelers will also be operated. KB Kookmin Bank and Hana Bank will temporarily open additional currency exchange booths at Incheon International Airport during the Seollal holiday period, and Shinhan Bank will operate specialized currency exchange booths at the Jeongseon Casino branch in Gangwon Province, as well as at Gimpo Airport and Cheongju Airport.
Eleven flexible branches capable of currency exchange and remittance will be operated at airports and areas densely populated by foreign workers.
If a loan maturity date falls during the Seollal holiday, the maturity date will be postponed to the 13th, immediately after the holiday, without any overdue interest. If a credit card payment due date falls during the holiday, payment can be made on the 13th without any late fees. Similarly, automatic payments for insurance premiums, telecommunications fees, or utility bills scheduled during the holiday period will be deferred until after the holiday.
All financial companies plan to refund deposits maturing during the Seollal holiday on the 13th, including interest accrued during the holiday period.

Meanwhile, the government will operate a 24-hour joint public-private response system to prevent voice phishing crimes disguised as Seollal greetings. In particular, the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters will strengthen phishing crime response by establishing a dedicated investigation team and introducing a phishing warning text message system.
