AI and Robot Investment Kicks Off... Doosan Forms 100 Billion Won New Technology Fund
Five Affiliates Each Invest 20 Billion Won
Doosan Group's corporate venture capital (CVC) company, Doosan Investment, is set to begin full-scale investments.
Doosan Investment announced on the 8th that it will form a fund worth a total of 100 billion KRW by receiving 20 billion KRW each from five companies: Doosan Corporation, Doosan Enerbility, Doosan Bobcat, Doosan Tesna, and Doosan Robotics. The fund is named ‘Doosan New Technology Investment Association No. 1’.
Doosan Investment, a 100% subsidiary of Doosan Corporation, was launched last year. It was established to proactively invest in promising industries that can create mid- to long-term synergies with the businesses held by Doosan Group and to strengthen the group’s competitiveness through discovering new technologies and acquisition opportunities.
Starting this year, Doosan Investment will actively invest in five promising fields that can generate synergy with the group’s businesses: robotics, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and green energy.
