A man in his 70s working at a nursery in Haman dies after being caught in an automatic greenhouse opener
A man in his 70s working at a nursery in Haman-gun, Gyeongnam, died after being caught in an automatic opening and closing device of a vinyl greenhouse.
According to the police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor on the 7th, at around 9:20 a.m. on the 6th, the clothes of Mr. A, in his 70s, at a nursery in Gunbuk-myeon, Haman-gun, were caught in an automatic insulation opening and closing device inside the vinyl greenhouse.
As his clothes were pulled, Mr. A's right arm and back were caught in the machine's rotating shaft, and he was seriously injured and died at the scene.
Mr. A was a day laborer, and the nursery where the accident occurred is a workplace with fewer than five employees, so it is known that the Serious Accidents Punishment Act does not apply.
Currently, a partial work suspension order has been issued at the accident site.

The police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor are investigating whether there was a violation of the Industrial Safety and Health Act and the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning related personnel at the site.
