Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office Holds Countermeasure Meeting with Related Agencies Ahead of General Election
The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 7th that it held a joint countermeasure meeting with the local election commission and police in preparation for the 22nd National Assembly election.
The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office plans to respond swiftly and strictly to election-related crimes such as election-related violence motivated by political reasons including winning, losing, or hatred toward opposing camps, dissemination of false information and black propaganda, election-related bribery, and election interference by public officials or organizations.
The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office has formed a dedicated election investigation team and entered a special duty system in stages, maintaining an emergency duty system until the statute of limitations expires on October 10 of this year.
