Jangsu-gun Holds Business Briefing for Multicultural Families' Hometown Visit Program
22 Families Visit Homeland This Year... Marriage Immigrant Women Settling in Local Communities
Jeonbuk Jangsu-gun Family Center (Director Oh In-cheol) announced on the 6th that it held a project briefing session for multicultural families' hometown visits.
According to Jangsu-gun, 22 families, including County Governor Choi Hoon-sik and the family of Nguyen Thi Phung Em (Vietnam), attended the briefing session to report on last year's project achievements and explain this year's project details.

The center began recruiting participants for the multicultural families' hometown visit project in December last year and selected 22 families for the hometown visit in January.
Governor Choi Hoon-sik said, "I hope that the children living in our region, whose fathers are from here, will get to know their mothers' hometowns better through the multicultural families' hometown visit project, meet and communicate with relatives, and create good memories in their mothers' hometowns."

Meanwhile, last year, 49 families from Jangsu-gun visited their home countries through the multicultural families' hometown visit project. This year, all 22 families who applied will be supported in visiting their home countries, further promoting the settlement of marriage immigrant women in the local community.
