Yongsan-gu to Promote Activation of Apartment Communities in 2024
Applications for the Support Project to Revitalize Apartment Communities Open Until the 29th...Pre-Consultation Required
Targeting Apartment Complexes with 30 or More Households...Up to 5 Million KRW Support per Complex Upon Selection
Aiming to Spread a Healthy Residential Community Culture of Communication Among Neighbors
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) is recruiting apartment complexes and others to participate in the ‘Apartment Community Revitalization Support Project’ from the 5th to the 29th of this month.
The Apartment Community Revitalization Support Project provides up to 5 million KRW per complex to support various activity programs or events led by residents within apartment complexes.
The purpose is to increase communication among neighbors living in diverse apartment complexes and foster a mature community culture.
This year’s apartment revitalization project increased the instructor fee allocation from up to 20% last year to 30%, reflecting some opinions from survey results. Additionally, related ordinance revisions lowered the self-payment rate from a maximum of 40% to a maximum of 30%, reducing the financial burden on apartment complexes.
The application fields include ▲Communication & Resident Harmony ▲Eco-friendly Practice & Experience ▲Hobbies & Startups ▲Education & Childcare ▲Health & Exercise ▲Neighbor Assistance & Social Service ▲Consideration for Management Workers & Coexistence. Residents can organize programs that combine two or more of these fields to promote communication together.
Applicants must undergo prior consultation with an apartment community expert from Yongsan-gu. Guidance is available by contacting the Housing Division of Yongsan-gu Office before applying.
Eligible applicants are apartment complexes with 30 or more households in the area. Even if there is no resident representative meeting or manager, applications can be made if more than 80% of residents or owners agree and other requirements are met. Community revitalization group leaders should submit the required documents according to the presence or absence of a manager by visiting, mailing, or emailing the Housing Division of Yongsan-gu Office.
The district will hold an Apartment Support Review Committee composed of related experts in April to select support recipients and notify each complex individually. Application forms and detailed information are available on the Notice/Announcement board on the Yongsan-gu Office website.
Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “Nowadays, many people do not even know who lives next door,” and added, “We will take the lead in creating Yongsan as a premium residential city full of neighborly affection through the Apartment Community Revitalization Project.”
