Songpa-gu, Remodeling Completion of Anam Apartment with Increasing Number of Households
Transformation from 299 to 329 Households through Horizontal Extension Remodeling... ▲Expansion of Underground Parking ▲Installation of Induction ▲Introduction of Food Waste Disposal System for Aging Complex Residential Environment Improvement
Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced on the 30th of last month that it has completed the usage inspection (completion) for the remodeling housing project of Anam Apartment located in Ogeum-dong.
Ogeum Anam Apartment is the first nationwide case completed as a remodeling project that increases the number of households since the revision of the Housing Act in 2012.
Built in 1992, Ogeum Anam Apartment is a small complex consisting of 2 buildings and 299 households. Although a union was established in January 2008 for remodeling the apartment complex, the project had been delayed for a long time because only remodeling with the existing number of households was allowed at that time.
After the revision of the Housing Act in 2012 allowed remodeling with an increase in the number of households, and an additional revision in 2014 permitted up to a 15% increase in households compared to the existing number, the remodeling of Anam Apartment was actively promoted after 2015, completing the long-cherished new home for residents after 16 years.
Anam Apartment, constructed by Ssangyong Construction, began in April 2021 and transformed from 299 households in 2 basement floors to 15 floors above ground to 328 households in 3 basement floors to 16 floors above ground through horizontal extension remodeling. The additional 29 households were successfully sold to the public in 2022.
In particular, Ogeum Anam Apartment improved the residential environment comfortably through this remodeling. The biggest drawback of old apartments, parking issues, was addressed by expanding the underground parking lot, increasing the parking capacity from 165 to 320 spaces.
Additionally, induction cooktops were installed in all households to minimize the emission of harmful substances such as carbon dioxide, and for the first time in Songpa-gu’s apartment complexes, a food waste disposal system was introduced to process 100% of generated food waste environmentally within the complex. This reduced costs related to food waste collection, transportation, and treatment facility entry, contributing to convenience, environmental friendliness, and economic efficiency.
District Mayor Seo Gang-seok stated, “The completion of the Ogeum Anam Apartment remodeling project will have a significant impact on improving the residential environment of aging apartments nationwide. Since many complexes in Songpa-gu are promoting projects, we will actively communicate with residents and devote all administrative efforts to ensure practical improvements in the residential environment.”
