Gyeongnam National University Signs Multilateral MOU to Foster Mega Manufacturing AI Industry
Gyeongnam Technopark, KG Mobility, and Shinsung Delta Tech Accelerate Digital Transformation of Gyeongnam's Key Industries
On the morning of the 6th, Gyeongnam National University signed separate business agreements with Gyeongnam Technopark, KG Mobility, and Shinsung Delta Tech in a small conference room to foster the super-large manufacturing AI industry.
The purpose is to accelerate the digital transformation of Gyeongnam's aging core industries through super-large manufacturing AI and to actively cultivate future new growth industries that will inject new vitality into the regional economy.
Through this agreement, the data held by each company will be shared with partner universities, research institutions, and regional industry promotion organizations. The cooperating institutions will utilize the shared data to develop technologies and manufacturing methods necessary for the super-large manufacturing AI industry, conduct various research including industrial field applications, and also focus on nurturing intelligent local talent.
Companies will receive various AI technologies and research data from the cooperating institutions, achieving the advancement of existing manufacturing lines and establishing a new industrial ecosystem based on industry-academia cooperation.
On this day, the institutions promised to cooperate not only in the development of core technologies for super-large manufacturing AI but also in various matters operated and promoted by Gyeongnam National University, including ▲ Ministry of Education's 2024 Glocal University designation ▲ Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System (RISE) project ▲ Ministry of Science and ICT's Regional Intelligence Innovation Talent Nurturing project ▲ SW-Centered University project.
In particular, KG Mobility agreed to jointly develop core technologies necessary for electrification platforms and SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) and to nurture talent together when Gyeongnam National University is selected for the Ministry of Education's RISE project and Glocal University designation.
