Lunar New Year Shopping and Traditional Market Use Campaign Launched
The Jeonbuk Provincial Council announced on the 5th that ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, they supported traditional market merchants at Jeonju Moraenae Market by holding a shopping event and a usage campaign to revitalize the market.
According to the council, this event emphasized the value and importance of traditional markets and demonstrated their commitment to revitalizing the local economy.

The event was attended by Chairperson Guk Ju-yeong (Jeonju 12), and council members Kim I-jae (Jeonju 4), Lee Byeong-cheol (Jeonju 7), Kim Myeong-ji (Jeonju 11), Choi Hyeong-yeol (Jeonju 5), Lee Myeong-yeon (Jeonju 10), and Kang Dong-hwa (Jeonju 8).
The council discussed ways to revitalize the traditional market with Kang Gyeong-pyo, president of the Jeonju Moraenae Market Merchants Association, and conducted a holiday shopping event.
Council members and office staff purchased fruits, rice, and toilet paper using Onnuri gift certificates and delivered them to social welfare facilities in the Jeonju area, adding warmth to the Lunar New Year holiday.
