Boseong-gun Creates Bustling Traditional Market Ahead of Seol Holiday
Participation of Institutions and Organizations in Traditional Market Shopping Events Until the 8th
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold a traditional market shopping event for the Lunar New Year at major traditional markets in Boseong-eup and Beolgyo-eup for seven days from the 2nd to the 8th.
The shopping events were held on the 2nd at Nokchagol Boseong Hyangto Market and on the 4th at Beolgyo Traditional Market, and will also be held on the 7th at Nokchagol Boseong Hyangto Market.
This shopping event is aimed at fostering consensus through campaigns promoting the use of traditional markets, encouraging regional harmony, and spreading the atmosphere of using traditional markets, with participation from various organizations, groups, and residents.
During the shopping event, various campaigns were conducted simultaneously to revitalize the local economy, including promoting the use of Boseong Love Gift Certificates in card and paper form, distributing shopping bags, and encouraging support for subscribing to traditional market fire insurance.
A Boseong-gun official said, “We aim to invigorate the stagnant local economy through Lunar New Year shopping.” He added, “By actively using local specialties, we will encourage small business owners who are struggling due to reduced consumption and listen to their difficulties to devise active measures for economic recovery.”
Meanwhile, to promote local consumption, Boseong-gun is selling Boseong Love Gift Certificates at 33 financial institutions, including local agricultural cooperatives, with a monthly limit of 700,000 KRW and a 10% discount.
