Jongno-gu 'Resident Communication Contest Project' Applications Open Until February 29 on District Office Website... Divided into 'Neighbor Communication Project' and 'Local Problem Solving Project', Apply by 6 PM on the 29th via District Office Website... Final Winners to Be Announced in April After Review... Project Runs Until November with Participation in Resident Meetings
Jongno-gu (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) is accepting proposals for the '2024 Jongno-gu Resident Communication Contest Project' from the 1st to the 29th of this month.
The purpose is to have residents themselves identify problems they feel in the community, propose solutions, and take action, thereby strengthening bonds among neighbors and creating a better neighborhood to live in. It is meaningful in that it is led by residents who have a deep affection for Jongno, finding and solving community issues.
This project is divided into two types: the 'Neighbor Communication Project' and the 'Local Problem Solving Project.' The Neighbor Communication Project selects early-stage groups that enhance communication between neighbors and generations, providing support funds up to 1 million KRW. The Local Problem Solving Project supports groups in the implementation stage that solve local problems based on creative ideas, communication, and cooperation. The support funds range from 2 million to 3 million KRW.
Eligible participants are groups or organizations of three or more residents who live or work in Jongno-gu. Those wishing to apply can submit the required documents online through the district office website by 6 p.m. on the 29th.
During the application period, the Autonomous Administration Division and the Jongno-gu Resident Communication Center will provide customized consultations, including how to write proposals, to help residents concretize their desired activities into project plans.
The selection announcement is scheduled for April after review and subsidy deliberation. Once selected as a final recipient, groups will receive ongoing monitoring and consulting while conducting activities until November this year, and will also participate in meetings to share the project process with other residents. For more details, please contact the Resident Support Team of the Autonomous Administration Division.
