Following this, he expressed his determination to prevent former President Donald Trump from returning to the White House.
After his victory in the South Carolina primary, President Biden posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating, "In 2020, South Carolina voters proved political commentators wrong, breathed new life into our election, and set us on the path to a presidential victory."
He added, "This year, the people of South Carolina have raised their voices again," and "I have no doubt that you have put us back on the path to a presidential victory and made Donald Trump a loser once again."
During the 2020 presidential primaries, Biden was widely considered unlikely to succeed after consecutive losses in early states such as Iowa. However, he made a dramatic comeback by receiving overwhelming support in South Carolina, the fourth primary contest, eventually becoming the Democratic nominee and winning the presidency.
He said, "This election is more important than ever," adding, "There are extreme and dangerous voices determined to divide and regress our country, and Donald Trump is leading them."
