[Concall] Samsung Electro-Mechanics "Entering New Growth Area of MLCC... Will Continue to Expand Operating Rate"
On the 31st, during the conference call following the announcement of the fourth-quarter results of last year, Samsung Electro-Mechanics stated regarding the multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) business, "We expect demand from major applications to recover this year, especially with anticipated growth in new applications such as AI servers." They added, "Our company plans to grow sales not only by expanding sales in existing markets but also by entering new industrial growth sectors, including industrial power and AI servers."
They also explained, "Accordingly, we plan to continuously increase the operating rate this year," and "We will timely expand capacity (CAPA) considering market demand to secure market leadership."
