Hyundai Motor Securities Joins Global Corporate Sustainability Initiative UNGC
Hyundai Motor Securities announced on the 31st that it joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) on the 29th to accelerate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and held a certificate presentation ceremony at the UNGC Korea Association in Jung-gu, Seoul.

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, launched in 2000 in New York, USA. It supports companies in internalizing the 10 principles in the core areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, and as of the 18th, approximately 24,000 member companies from 167 countries participate.
Hyundai Motor Securities plans to implement the UNGC 10 principles and apply them to its management activities, while sharing the results annually with stakeholders through the Communication on Progress (COP) report.
Baek Hyung-geun, CEO of Hyundai Motor Securities, said, "Hyundai Motor Securities, which has been striving for leading ESG management in the securities industry, will practice global-level ESG management through this UNGC membership."
Yoo Yeon-cheol, Secretary-General of the UNGC Korea Association, stated, "We hope that this membership will lead to actively reflecting the 10 principles of the UNGC throughout corporate management and further strengthening ESG management."
