Mayor Kim Bora "Will Achieve Innovation City Together with Citizens"
On the 30th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it successfully concluded the '2024 First Half Policy Sympathy Talk for Eup, Myeon, and Dong' held as part of citizen communication and sharing the direction of city administration.
Starting with Wongok-myeon on the 15th, the Policy Sympathy Talk was conducted by Mayor Kim Bora, who personally toured 15 eup, myeon, and dong areas. Mayor Kim communicated with citizens based on city administration briefings and pre-submitted local issues, exchanging opinions on the direction of city development.

In this Policy Sympathy Talk, Mayor Kim presented the three core city administration directions for this year as 'a city where citizens are happy, a sustainable city, and a growing city.' In particular, Mayor Kim drew attention by presenting the region’s blueprint through key statistics on population, industry, and infrastructure, including the 300,000 planned population policy, semiconductor industry promotion, and customized projects by social class.
The major local issues discussed in this Policy Sympathy Talk included ▲Proposal for integrated operation of Wongok Elementary School (Wongok-myeon) ▲Measures to reduce livestock odor (Iljuk-myeon) ▲Revitalization of Juksan Market (Juksan-myeon) ▲Utilization of Deoksan Lake tourism resources (Samjuk-myeon) ▲Revitalization of local commercial districts and Anseong Stream riverside (Anseong 1-dong) ▲Management plan for unstarted construction sites in Ayang District (Anseong 2-dong) ▲Securing apartment infrastructure (Anseong 3-dong) ▲Development of Gosam Lake (Gosam-myeon), among others.
Additionally, discussions were held on ▲Activation of Anseong Matchum Land (Bogae-myeon) ▲Development and management plan for Geumgwang Lake (Geumgwang-myeon) ▲Regional development around Seounipjang Interchange (Seoun-myeon) ▲Measures to resolve overlapping regulations (Miyang-myeon) ▲Creation of Naeri Village project (Daedeok-myeon) ▲Development of Bangchuk General Industrial Complex and Independence Movement Historical Village (Yangseong-myeon) ▲Urban development project issues and improvement of living environment in villages around environmental basic facilities (Gongdo-eup), among others.
Based on the discussions, the city plans to actively pursue continuous public-private cooperation and resolve residents’ inconveniences, while accelerating key policies of the 8th elected administration such as preventing indiscriminate development, improving public transportation, creating convenience facilities, and strengthening cultural tourism projects.
