Co-Governance in Gwanak-gu to Continue in 2024
Three Public-Private Partnership Projects Worth 161.5 Million Won to Be Promoted Through Joint Public-Private Implementation Task Force...Gwanak Governance Forum to Collect Residents' Opinions in April for Discovering 2025 Governance Tasks
Gwanak-gu, a city growing through cooperation (Mayor Park Jun-hee), will continue its communication and cooperative governance in 2024.
Last year, the district identified community issues through various channels of Gwanak cooperation, such as the ‘Cooperation! Autonomy! Right~chi! Cooperative Gwanak Public Forum.’ Through a deliberation process, three tasks were selected, and an execution plan for the 2024 cooperative tasks was established.
The selected projects are ▲ Carbon Neutral RUN! Expansion of eco-friendly practice resident education by neighborhood ▲ Formation and operation of the Resident UP Nokdu Street UP Network ▲ Gwanak Art Re-Design, Spot Gallery Project, with a total budget of 161.5 million KRW.
For each project, a public-private joint execution promotion team will be formed, consisting of private stakeholders, administrative departments, and cooperative meeting members. The formed execution promotion team will jointly plan and implement detailed projects.
Starting with the first resident briefing session for the ‘Formation and operation of the Resident UP Nokdu Street UP Network’ project on January 18, the first step toward executing the 2024 cooperative tasks was taken. This cooperative task aims to revitalize the Nokdu Street commercial area, which has been stagnant since the abolition of the judicial examination and the COVID-19 pandemic, and to activate the community as a local landmark project.
In particular, the ‘Gwanak Art Re-Design, Spot Gallery Project’ supports the artistic activities of local living artists by exhibiting and promoting their works in local shops such as cafes. Through this, local residents can appreciate the works of local living artists at the alley shop ‘Spot Gallery,’ and local shops are expected to benefit from increased sales.
Additionally, the district plans to do its best to discover cooperative tasks for 2025 through various channels. In April, the district will operate the ‘Cooperation and Participatory Budget Public Forum,’ expecting active participation from residents in discovering new cooperative agendas.
