Songpa-gu Announces Call for Applications for Lifelong Learning Club Support Project
Recruitment from January 31 to February 2
For Songpa residents' clubs with 5 or more members
Up to 1.2 million KRW support per team
Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that it will recruit groups or organizations to participate in the "2024 Excellent Lifelong Learning Club Support Project" from January 31 to February 2 to foster a lifelong learning culture.
The "Lifelong Learning Club Support Project" aims to discover and support learning clubs, the basic units of lifelong learning, to strengthen individual learning capabilities and promote a lifelong learning culture through talent sharing activation.
Last year, about 20 clubs selected through a public contest were supported, contributing to the activation of the lifelong learning culture in the local community. Among them, the senior ballet club "Kkumkkuneun Ballerina" enhanced its capabilities by participating in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism gymnastics competition, and five music clubs such as "7080 Areumdawoon Donghaeng" and "Music Fantasy Ensemble" held concerts at local children's centers and senior welfare centers, engaging in talent-sharing activities within the community.
This year’s contest will recruit in two categories: ▲ "Talent Sharing Type" and ▲ "Advanced Learning Type." Selected clubs will receive up to 1.2 million KRW per team as activity support funds.
First, the "Talent Sharing Type" supports learners' active participation in community activities through performances and exhibitions, while the "Advanced Learning Type" helps develop professional skills such as obtaining certifications and job creation or entrepreneurship.
The target is clubs registered on the SongpaLearn education portal, composed of at least five members with 70% or more being Songpa-gu residents. Clubs not pre-registered on the education portal can register first and then apply.
Clubs wishing to participate can visit the Lifelong Education Team of the Education Cooperation Division at Songpa-gu Office in person to submit applications from January 31 to February 2.
The district will evaluate the necessity of club support, project plans and execution capabilities, and social contribution activities, and announce the results on the Songpa-gu Office website by the end of March.
