Hwang Ui-jo Accused of 'Illegal Filming', Verdict Expected Soon

View original imageA Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official stated at a press briefing on the 29th, "Currently, four complaints have been received and investigations are underway at Hyehwa Police Station, Yeongdeungpo Police Station, and Jongno Police Station," adding, "We plan to conduct investigations of the complainants and others involved."
Earlier, medical and civic organizations filed successive complaints on the 2nd, raising suspicions of preferential treatment regarding Lee’s helicopter transfer from Busan National University Hospital to Seoul National University Hospital after the attack in Busan. In addition to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the Busan Police Agency is reportedly conducting six investigations related to this matter.
The investigation into soccer player Hwang Ui-jo (32), who is suspected of illegal filming and secondary victimization, is expected to conclude soon. Hwang’s travel ban period ended yesterday, and no extension has been made. A police official said, "We will analyze testimonies from related parties and the materials secured so far to determine whether charges apply," adding, "We will reach a conclusion soon."
