A Chinese influencer sparked controversy after bringing a box of rice to a supermarket tasting corner and having a full meal.
On the 26th (local time), Hong Kong's South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on influencer A from Guangdong Province, China, who brought a box of cooked rice to the Sam's Club China branch, a US membership-based supermarket.
A video shared on social media shows A carrying a box of cooked rice while touring the supermarket tasting corners. Upon entering the store, A headed straight to the egg waffle booth and ate two pieces as samples, then moved on to freely eat snacks like chocolate and coconut. At times, A picked up two or three pieces of food at once.
Later, A went to the lamb roll corner and showed the brought rice to the staff, requesting, "Please add some lamb to my rice." The staff complied and placed the meat on the rice as requested.
At the pork ribs sales counter, A initially asked for a few pieces and then praised, "This is the most delicious rice with meat and vegetables I have ever eaten," proceeding to have a full meal. After finishing with fruit for dessert, A expressed satisfaction, saying, "I enjoyed the food and drinks. I will come again."
