Suwon City Signs Business Agreement with Korea Housing Construction Association Gyeonggi Branch to Support Housing-Vulnerable Groups

View original imageThe city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is partnering with the Gyeonggi Branch of the Korea Housing Builders Association to carry out a home repair support project for vulnerable housing groups.
On the 24th, Suwon City and the Gyeonggi Branch of the Korea Housing Builders Association signed a "Housing Environment Improvement Project Business Agreement" in the city hall situation room, pledging cooperation.
The two organizations will establish a cooperative system to improve the living conditions of economically disadvantaged vulnerable housing groups and households whose homes have been damaged by disasters or accidents.
Participating companies of the Gyeonggi Branch of the Korea Housing Builders Association will fully cover the costs of wallpapering and painting work, lighting replacement, sink replacement, and other minor home repair work with repair costs under 5 million KRW. The annual support volume will be decided through mutual consultation.
Suwon City will recommend beneficiaries in connection with existing home repair projects and jointly promote the support project.
Additionally, they agreed to cooperate in various areas such as ▲simplifying housing construction-related review procedures and shortening permit periods ▲recommending professional personnel from the Housing Builders Association when appointing various housing construction review committee members ▲improving the method of selecting supervisors when revising the Building Act and ordinances.
The signing ceremony was attended by Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun and Ji Jae-gi, president of the Gyeonggi Branch of the Korea Housing Builders Association, among others.
