Haitai Confectionery announced on the 23rd that it will launch the ‘Oh Yes Roasted Green Tea Latte Flavor,’ infused with Haenam green tea. This is the third winter limited edition following Seven Berries and Purple Sweet Potato. Only 3 million units will be produced exclusively for this winter season until March.
This product contains hojicha latte made by steeping roasted green tea leaves and adding warm milk. The tea leaves are roasted at high temperatures to eliminate bitterness and reduce caffeine content, making it enjoyable for people of all ages. A Haitai Confectionery representative explained, "There have been many snacks made with green tea, but this is the first snack made with hojicha latte," adding, "Not only the taste and aroma but also the visual appearance, which has a light greenish-brown color, offers a special experience as if you are actually drinking tea."
The quality of the green tea in the winter Oh Yes is also top-notch. It is grown in Haenam, which provides an optimal environment with abundant sunlight, large temperature differences between day and night, and cool sea breezes. Green tea is incorporated from the dough stage to create a ‘green tea sheet,’ and the cream is also filled with it, doubling the fragrance. Additionally, it is coated with the original Oh Yes’s thick chocolate layer, creating a sophisticated blend of rich sweetness and slight bitterness.
