The author, identified as A, posted a photo of an esophagus being sold on a social commerce platform and stated, "I can no longer tolerate the evil deeds of Jin Jarim’s family," adding, "I will carry out the plan as soon as the delivery arrives." The post has since been deleted, and after receiving the report, the police confirmed Jin Jarim’s whereabouts and safety, and have begun a full-scale investigation, including tracking the location of the author who wrote the death threat post.
Earlier, on the 13th, Jin Jarim announced plans to start a tanghulu business on the first floor of a commercial building located in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, which sparked backlash when it was revealed that an existing tanghulu store was operating right next door. At the time of the announcement, Jin Jarim said on her YouTube channel, "I love tanghulu so much that I thought I would regret it if I didn’t start a business. I decided to see it through," adding, "I’m worried, but failure is also an experience," which angered many small business owners.

Following the controversy over business ethics, Jin Jarim posted an apology on the 18th and announced the cancellation of the tanghulu store opening. She stated, "In starting the tanghulu business, I proceeded without properly considering the demand within the commercial area, the surrounding businesses, and the positive and negative factors that could arise from my opening the store," adding, "Recognizing that my business could cause harm to someone, I judged that I could not operate the store with a joyful heart and have decided to cancel the store opening at this location." She also dismissed the controversy by adding, "It is not true that I deceived others by claiming it was a dessert shop."
She further apologized, saying, "I won’t repeat the same excuses about being young and inexperienced. I will correct my shortcomings and strive to take responsibility for what I can," and added, "I am sorry to the many people who trusted and supported me. I also sincerely apologize to the owner of the neighboring tanghulu store, who must have felt the greatest hardship because of this incident."
