Bodyfriend announced on the 22nd that it attracted a total of 25,000 visitors over four days at CES 2024, held from the 9th to the 12th (local time) in the United States. Interest was so high that the waiting time to enter the booth reached up to two hours.
The reason behind Bodyfriend’s strong attention lies in its innovative technology. Bodyfriend showcased all its healthcare robots, including the CES Innovation Award-winning Phantom Neo and Quantum, Pharaoh Robo, and Phantom Robo. These products feature patented technology called ‘Robotics Technology,’ which enables the left and right leg parts to operate independently and helps stretch the core muscles.
This CES confirmed Bodyfriend’s strategy to accelerate its transformation into a healthcare robot company by adding robotic technology to traditional massage chairs. Since first introducing the 'Robo Walking' technology with Phantom Robo in 2022, Bodyfriend has been dedicated to elevating massage chair technology to the level of 'healthcare robots.' This year, it plans to release multiple new Robo series products.
Under the leadership of its affiliated research institute, the ‘Healthcare Medical R&D Center,’ Bodyfriend is strengthening its technological capabilities and plans to increase investment this year. Exports of healthcare robot technology are also becoming visible. Bodyfriend explained that it has signed licensing agreements related to 'Robotics Technology' exports with about ten global massage chair companies.

Ceragem, participating in CES for the first time this year, showcased its technological capabilities and achieved collaboration with dozens of major global distributors, including those in the United States. Especially in the North American region, most of the major companies distributing healthcare appliances such as massage chairs visited the booth. Among them, four to five companies hope to adopt the products as soon as possible, which is expected to give momentum to Ceragem’s business in the U.S.
Ceragem first entered the U.S. market in 1999 and began full-scale business by opening three directly operated stores in Los Angeles in 2022, incorporating a new experience-centered business model. Currently, it operates 15 experience stores. U.S. sales grew by 67.5% in 2022 compared to the previous year and increased by about 90% last year, showing a growth trend.
Ceragem plans to accelerate its global expansion through innovative technology development. At CES 2024, it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for research and development (R&D) cooperation with Xandar Kardian, a Canadian company specializing in radar signal processing technology. The goal is to provide enhanced healthcare services by combining radar-based health monitoring technology with Ceragem’s home healthcare platform technology.
