Yoon In-chon Prepares System Ahead of Construction for National Korean Literature Museum
"Core Projects of the Ministry of Culture... We Will Spare No Interest or Support"
Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, met with officials involved in the construction of the National Korean Literature Museum, which will begin construction early this year, at the National Museum of Korea on the 22nd to promote cooperation. Attendees included Kim Heon-dong, President of Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation, Moon Jeong-hee, Director of the National Korean Literature Museum, and Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District. They also met with Lee Eun-seok, a professor at Kyung Hee University who is in charge of the museum's design, Jo Do-yeon, CEO of D&B Architecture, and Hong Soon-taek, CEO of Architecture Office Gwangjang, who is responsible for construction project management.
Minister Yoo stated, "The National Korean Literature Museum is the national representative literature museum stipulated by the 'Literature Promotion Act.' To ensure its successful establishment, all parties involved must unite with a deep sense of responsibility in their respective positions. As this is a long-cherished project of the literary community and a key project of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, we will spare no interest and support."

On the same day, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a business agreement with Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation, which owns the site for the National Korean Literature Museum. The museum completed its detailed design in September last year and is currently issuing construction bids. Once a contractor is selected early this year, full-scale construction will commence.
