Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, conducted a 4,000-step plogging activity on the morning of the 20th in the Dangsan-dong area as the first 'Volunteer Day' event of the new year.
'Volunteer Day' is a day when the district mayor and district employees practice sharing with neighbors once a month.
On this day, Mayor Choi attended the 'Send-off Ceremony' held at the Yeongdeungpo Community Center Square, reaffirming his commitment to practicing neighborly love and spreading a culture of volunteering. Afterwards, about 60 people including district employees, the Volunteer Association, North Korean defectors, and foreign residents walked from Yeongdeungpo Art Hall to the Yeongdeungpo Wholesale Market intersection, picking up household waste along the way.
