Regarding the recent public appearances of Chairman Kim using a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, the company emphasized that it does not conduct business in North Korea. Mercedes-Benz explained, "In accordance with our belief in compliance and ethical practices, we do not operate in countries like North Korea," adding, "We decided years ago not to enter the North Korean market."
They also stated that if the investigation confirms that a partner company has violated North Korea sanctions, they will respond firmly. Mercedes-Benz said it prohibits product sales to unauthorized third parties and regions, and "if a partner company violates North Korea sanctions, we will take firm action such as terminating business relationships in accordance with relevant regulations."
