Assemblyman Song Gap-seok Holds 'Kim Dae-jung on the Road' Viewing Event with 150 Citizens
"Following Kim Dae-jung's Footsteps to Engage in Meaningful Politics"
Song Gap-seok, Member of the National Assembly (Democratic Party of Korea·Gwangju Seo-gu Gap), held a screening event of the movie 'On the Road with Kim Dae-jung' with 150 citizens at Gwangju Sangmu CGV on the afternoon of the 18th.
Assemblyman Song said, "President Kim Dae-jung was the greatest figure in South Korea over the past century," adding, "Although it has been 15 years since his passing, South Korea still stands under his influence."
He continued, "As a South Korean politician, a Democratic Party member of the National Assembly, and a politician from Honam who has shared the history of discrimination and exclusion, it is natural to follow the footsteps of Kim Dae-jung," and pledged, "I will pursue politics that follows conscience and conviction, politics that looks back on future generations and prepares for the distant future, politics centered on the livelihood of the people, and politics that opens the future of Honam and Gwangju."
A citizen who attended the group viewing expressed, "I am grateful for providing this precious opportunity to commemorate and gain a deeper understanding of the giant of the era, President Kim Dae-jung."
