Temperatures are expected to be higher than the average (lowest temperature -11 to 0 degrees, highest temperature 1 to 8 degrees) for the time being, with the daytime high on this day forecasted to be between 4 and 11 degrees. On the 20th, known as 'Daehan,' when a major cold wave usually arrives, the morning low will be between -1 and 8 degrees, and the daytime high will be between 4 and 10 degrees, making it warm. On the 21st, the morning low will be between -1 and 8 degrees, and the daytime high will reach 4 to 12 degrees.
Due to the influence of a low-pressure trough, rain or snow will fall on Jeju and the southern coastal areas of Jeollanam-do on the 19th, and on most areas except Seoul and northern Gyeonggi Province during the weekend. In particular, due to the easterly winds, rain or snow will continue in the Yeongdong region of Gangwon Province, and from night, rain or snow will occur in the northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongsangbuk-do and the eastern coast of Gyeongsangbuk-do.
From the afternoon of the 20th, when the easterly winds strengthen, heavy snow is expected. Currently, a heavy snow warning is in effect for the central and northern mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, and heavy snow will fall in the Yeongdong region of Gangwon and the northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongsangbuk-do until the day after tomorrow, Sunday.

Expected snowfall until the 20th is 10 to 20 cm (more than 30 cm in some places) in the Gangwon mountainous areas, 5 to 10 cm (more than 15 cm in some places) in the northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongsangbuk-do, and 3 to 8 cm along the central and northern eastern coast of Gangwon. Expected precipitation amounts are 10 to 40 mm in the eastern coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and 5 to 20 mm in the northeastern mountainous areas and eastern coast of Gyeongsangbuk-do.
