Collecting Empty Bottles for Sharing Practice at Jeonnam Saranguiyeolmae
Kim Wonsik, the owner of Jindo Fishing Shop, a Good Store, donated the proceeds raised by collecting empty bottles to the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea.
According to the Jeonnam Social Welfare Community Chest on the 18th, Kim donated 1,767,000 won raised by collecting discarded empty bottles around the village over the past year.
The donation of proceeds from empty bottles, which began in 2017, has reached a total of 7,172,280 won to date.
Kim said, “People around me advised me to stop for the sake of my health, but I cannot stop because even small empty bottles can be a great help to neighbors in need.”
