Through this business agreement, the two parties will seek ways to operate high-quality endoscopic examinations using Weimed Endo. As this is the first case of AI stomach and colon endoscopy software being introduced to a public medical center, they plan to actively cooperate to expand the adoption to public medical centers across the country.
Gangneung Medical Center, a regional public hospital, provides public health care services to ensure no medical gaps in the local community. The introduction of Weimed Endo aims to provide high-quality endoscopic examination medical services to local residents.
Weimed Endo is the first AI-based real-time analysis medical software for stomach and colon endoscopy in Korea. Beyond lesion detection, it provides medical staff with suspected gastric cancer areas and gastric cancer probabilities to assist diagnostic decisions. Recognized for its innovation, it was designated as the 37th innovative medical device and, as of last year, has expanded to seven countries including Korea.
