Kibo, Recruitment of Participating Companies for the 14th 'Kibo Venture Camp'
Collaboration with Private Accelerators
Focused Nurturing of Innovative Startup Companies
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) announced on the 17th that it is recruiting companies to participate in the "14th KOTEC Venture Camp" to nurture capable innovative startup companies.
The KOTEC Venture Camp is a program that focuses on nurturing innovative startups into star venture companies through collaboration with private accelerators, based on KOTEC's accumulated experience in supporting technology startups.
The recruitment targets are innovative startups within three years of establishment as of the announcement date or prospective entrepreneurs. Approximately 75 companies will be selected through a first-round document screening and a second-round presentation evaluation. In addition to the general track, various companies will be recruited through regional balance and ESG (environment, social, governance) tracks, contributing to regional balanced development and the creation of social value.
Companies selected for the KOTEC Venture Camp will receive various programs such as ▲ consulting for establishing customized growth strategies ▲ mentoring linked with experts in various fields including successful entrepreneurs ▲ opportunities for investment attraction and networking with private venture capital (VC). All programs are provided free of charge.
In particular, KOTEC plans to systematically support innovative startups until they achieve successful establishment by providing a package of financial services such as guarantees and investments, as well as non-financial services including research and development (R&D) support and technology transfer to companies that complete the Venture Camp.
Kim Young-gap, Director of KOTEC, said, “Companies participating in the 14th KOTEC Venture Camp will be offered various investment opportunities such as recommendations for the Technology Company First Step Fund, and outstanding participating companies can receive guarantees of up to 1.5 billion KRW.” He added, “KOTEC will continue to expand support so that companies participating in the KOTEC Venture Camp can grow into unicorn companies.”
