[Tomorrow's Weather] Snow and Rain Nationwide from Afternoon... Beware of Icy Roads

On Wednesday the 17th, the whole country is expected to be mostly cloudy, with occasional rain or snow in most areas from the afternoon.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 16th, the morning low temperatures on the 17th are expected to range from -6 to 4℃, and the daytime highs from 2 to 13℃. Temperatures will gradually rise, being higher than the average levels of lows between -12 and 0℃ and highs between 1 and 8℃, but morning temperatures will be cold around -5℃ mainly in the central inland and Gyeongbuk inland areas.

View original imageStarting from the daytime in the metropolitan area, Chungcheong region, and Jeonbuk, occasional rain or snow will occur in most parts of the country except for the East Coast of Gangwon and Jeju Island from late afternoon. On the East Coast of Gangwon, less than 0.1mm of raindrops may fall at night.
Expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 10mm in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, and Jeonbuk; less than 5mm in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Gyeongsang region. Expected snowfall amounts are 1 to 3cm in northeastern Gyeonggi and inland/mountain areas of Gangwon, and less than 1cm in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi (excluding northeastern parts).
The Korea Meteorological Administration warned that visibility will be reduced in areas with rain or snow, and roads may be very slippery due to accumulated snow and ice, so caution is needed to prevent accidents.

Fine dust levels are expected to be 'bad' in Incheon and southern Gyeonggi, and 'good' to 'normal' in other regions. Seoul, northern Gyeonggi, Sejong, and Chungnam are forecasted to have temporarily 'bad' levels at night. Sea waves will be 0.5 to 2.0m in the East Sea nearshore, 0.5 to 1.0m in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 1.0m in the South Sea nearshore. Wave heights in the offshore seas within about 200km from the coastline are expected to be 1.0 to 2.5m in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.0m in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0m in the South Sea.
