Director Kim Chanyoung Moves to KB Asset Management... "Recruiting Key Player of ACE ETF"
Kim Chan-young, the head of the Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) division at Korea Investment Management who led the growth of ETFs, is moving to KB Asset Management.
According to the financial investment industry on the 16th, Kim Chan-young, head of Digital ETF Marketing at Korea Investment Management, will transfer to KB Asset Management as the head of the ETF business.
After CEO Kim Young-sung took office, KB Asset Management underwent an organizational restructuring. Executives were appointed to business divisions including alternative investments, AI Quant & DI Management, Global Multi-Asset Management, Real Estate Management, and LDI Management. At that time, the executive in charge of ETF & AI Management, overseeing the ETF business, was not listed.
Kim Chan-young was recruited when Bae Jae-gyu became CEO of Korea Investment Management in 2022. He worked at Samsung Asset Management from 2015 to 2020. Afterwards, he also worked at Premia Partners, a Hong Kong-based ETF management company.

Subsequently, Kim moved to Korea Investment Management to handle ETF brand marketing. Last year, he led the effort to change Korea Investment Management's ETF brand from 'KINDEX' to 'ACE'.
