In the election held on the 11th for the 11th term Chairperson of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Employees' Union, candidate number 2, Park So-young (45), and Secretary-General candidate Kim Gyu-hong (43) were elected with 58% of the total votes.

Previously serving as the Secretary-General of the 10th term Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Employees' Union, Park So-young, elected as the 11th term Chairperson, became the first female chairperson in the union's history.
