Goheung-gun Saves 3 Billion Won in Budget Through Contract Review
A Total of 538 Cases, 180 Billion KRW Worth of Review
Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that it saved 3 billion KRW in budget through the contract review system last year. This amount reached 120% compared to 2.5 billion KRW in 2022.
The contract review targets in Gohung-gun include cost reviews for construction projects over 100 million KRW, service contracts over 50 million KRW, and goods manufacturing/purchasing over 10 million KRW, as well as projects with contract amounts over 100 million KRW where the contract amount increases by more than 10% due to design changes.
Last year, the county reviewed a total of 538 cases. Looking at the specific savings by project, the construction sector accounted for 297 cases saving 2.9 billion KRW, the service sector 94 cases saving 6 million KRW, and the goods sector 147 cases saving 40 million KRW, resulting in a total budget saving of 3 billion KRW.
A county official stated, “We will continue to operate a solid contract review system to ensure that there are no factors causing budget waste, and secure fiscal soundness and transparency.”
