Citizens of Changwon seem to need to purchase Nubi-jeon to help the local economy ahead of Seollal, the traditional Korean holiday.
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will issue 15 billion KRW worth of Changwon Love Gift Certificates Nubi-jeon on the 31st ahead of Seollal to support small business owners and citizens struggling with high inflation, high interest rates, and high exchange rates.
This issuance consists of 5 billion KRW in paper certificates and 10 billion KRW in mobile certificates, totaling 15 billion KRW. The individual discount purchase limit is 200,000 KRW each for paper and mobile certificates, with a discount rate of 7%.
Paper certificates can be purchased at 246 sales agencies (Gyeongnam Bank, Nonghyup, Saemaeul Geumgo, Shinhan Credit Cooperative), and mobile certificates can be purchased from 9 a.m. via 17 apps including the Nubi-jeon app, B-Pay Zero Pay, Gyeongnam Bank mobile banking, and All One Bank (Nonghyup). The discounted sales will automatically end once the supply is exhausted.
Nubi-jeon can be used at over 91,000 registered merchants, including traditional markets, restaurants, retail and wholesale businesses, service industries, and educational institutions.
