[CES 2024] SoluM Receives 'Love Calls' from Overseas Companies for Electric Vehicle Charging Power Modules
Electric vehicle charging component manufacturer SoluM garnered positive responses from overseas companies with its technological prowess at CES 2024, the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition. Key personnel from major global charger manufacturers such as Wallbox and Zerobatechnology visited SoluM's booth to verify the competitiveness of its products.
On the 11th (local time), SoluM showcased two types of power modules for electric vehicle chargers and a 60kW-class electric vehicle fast charger at CES 2024 held in Las Vegas, USA.
SoluM's power modules for electric vehicle chargers are noted for their excellent heat resistance and high efficiency. The company explained that they can deliver high output power even at up to 60˚C and guarantee a maximum efficiency of over 96% by applying SiC FET, a next-generation power semiconductor. Additionally, each module is assigned a separate ID, making it easy to identify defective products in power banks containing multiple power modules.

This charger can charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes, allows users to check the charging status via LED lights, and is equipped with a full-screen display on the front, raising expectations for additional entertainment business opportunities.
SoluM plans to accelerate its electric vehicle charger business this year. It will additionally secure U.S. sales certification in February for the 30kW-class power module for electric vehicle chargers, which was the first in Korea to obtain European sales certification. At the same time, it will intensify mass production of the strategic 50kW-class power module. The 50kW-class module is being developed simultaneously in both air-cooled and water-cooled versions. It is expected to obtain European sales certification in the first half of this year and begin mass production.
The company is also preparing to operate a new factory in Mexico, and visible results are expected this year from the ongoing national renewable energy project with PetroVietnam. This project involves distributing fixed and mobile chargers throughout Vietnam. Additionally, development of battery management systems (BMS) and energy storage systems (ESS) will be pursued concurrently.
