Seongnam City Offers Free Tax Consultation for Vulnerable Groups Through Village Tax Advisors
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will operate the 'Village Tax Accountant' program again this year.
On the 12th, Seongnam City announced that it will run the 'Village Tax Accountant System,' providing free year-round consultations to resolve tax-related difficulties for vulnerable residents such as small business owners and low-income groups. To this end, Seongnam City appointed seven members of the Korea Tax Accountants Association as village tax accountants.
The Seongnam City village tax accountants provide consultations on local and national taxes overall. This is a pro bono consultation service especially for those who find it difficult to consult with tax accountants due to economic reasons.
In addition, Seongnam City operates a Taxpayer Protection Officer system to help resolve complaints related to local taxes.
