Song Miryeong, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, promised on the 11th to prioritize resolving regulations related to the location of intelligent farms (smart farms) when meeting with young farmers.
On this day, Minister Song visited a smart farm in Sangju, Gyeongbuk Province, encouraged young farmers, and shared opinions on the difficulties faced on site. The young farm visited this time is a farm that started farming in the form of a smart farm after going through the Young Startup Incubation Center and rental farm at the Sangju Smart Farm Innovation Valley.
At the meeting, Minister Song emphasized that smart agriculture, which responds to climate change and rural aging, is the direction our agriculture must take, saying, "I believe the success of young farmers means the success of our agriculture, so I will always support and encourage the future of young farmers."

The young farmers requested improvements in farmland regulations related to smart farms, simplification of comprehensive smart farm loan procedures, and expansion of rental-type smart farms. In response, Minister Song said, "We will prioritize resolving regulations related to smart farm locations," adding, "We will also create a pre-preparation checklist so that farmers can prepare in advance for the loan screening process for comprehensive smart farm funds, and expand the fund size to ensure there are no inconveniences in utilizing the funds." He continued, "Furthermore, by 2027, we will establish 15 region-specific rental-type smart farms so that all graduates of the Smart Farm Innovation Valley can move in."
