Yeungjin College Obtains Accreditation as an Animal Health Technician Training Institution
Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young) successfully obtained the certification for the Animal Health Technician Training Institution Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs on the 10th.
The Animal Health Department at Yeungjin College recently passed the evaluation and certification for newly established Animal Health Technician training institutions conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
For the 2023 academic year Animal Health Technician Training Institution Evaluation and Certification, 17 universities nationwide applied, and a total of 11 universities, including Yeungjin College's Animal Health Department, received certification.
The Animal Health Technician Training Institution Evaluation assesses five areas: organization and operation, curriculum, students, faculty, and educational facilities and practical equipment, covering 12 categories and 35 items.
Students of the Animal Health Department at Yeungjin College are qualified to take the 3rd National Animal Health Technician Qualification Examination to be held in February this year.
An Animal Health Technician works under the guidance of a veterinarian at animal hospitals, performing nursing or medical assistance tasks for animals. To obtain this qualification, one must graduate (or be expected to graduate) from a training institution certified by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
The Animal Health Department at Yeungjin College was newly established in the 2022 academic year as the Pet Care Department with a Pet Health major and was reorganized and newly established as the Animal Health Department in the 2023 academic year, steadily strengthening its foundation to cultivate professional animal health technicians and experts in the companion animal industry.
