Kakao Enterprise Supports Nationwide University Cloud Migration with Tomato System
Kakao Enterprise announced on the 10th that it has signed a business agreement with Tomato System, an IT service and solutions specialist company. The signing ceremony, held at the Kakao Enterprise office in Pangyo, was attended by Lee Jae-han, Head of Kakao Enterprise Business Division, and Kim Hak-geun, Vice President of Tomato System, among others.
The two companies plan to jointly develop cloud business to lead the next-generation integrated information system and the cloud transition of universities. As university integration for regional university innovation accelerates with projects such as the recent 'Glocal University 30' initiative, it is expected that integration projects for general administrative systems such as personnel and accounting, as well as academic administrative systems such as student records and grades, will follow.
In the education cloud sector, the two companies will mutually promote sales of their products and services in ▲infrastructure ▲platform ▲solutions. Tomato System plans to utilize Kakao Cloud in university and education businesses as a cloud management service provider (MSP) partner of Kakao Cloud. Kakao Enterprise will provide educational support to train Kakao Cloud experts and technical support for related projects to facilitate Tomato System’s smooth business operations.
Going forward, Tomato System will offer the entire system including the university academic and administrative systems as well as the portal, called ‘eXCampus,’ as Software as a Service (SaaS) on the Kakao Cloud platform. Based on this, they plan to expand not only to domestic and international universities but also to all educational institutions requiring academic management.
