Korea National Oil Corporation Selected as 'Best Institution' for Information Disclosure
'23 Information Disclosure Operation Performance Evaluation Top Grade
High Ratings in Original Document Disclosure, Request Processing, and Customer Management
Korea National Oil Corporation (President Kim Dong-seop) received the highest rating in the information disclosure performance evaluation conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
In the 2023 information disclosure performance evaluation conducted for a total of 550 institutions including central administrative agencies, the Oil Corporation was awarded the highest rating. In particular, it was reported to have received high evaluations in pre-information and original document disclosure, processing of information disclosure requests, and management activities for customers requesting information disclosure.
The Oil Corporation has not only actively disclosed a large volume of information it holds but also carefully reviewed the completeness of the disclosed information from the customer's perspective. It was also recognized for various efforts to embody the purpose of the information disclosure system, such as conducting public quizzes to promote the corporation's disclosed information.
Since 2018, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety has been investigating the information disclosure performance of government administrative agencies and public enterprises to secure the public's right to know and enhance transparency in agency operations. The evaluation results are announced in four grades: Excellent, Good, Average, and Poor.

A representative of the Oil Corporation stated, “We will focus on enhancing the qualitative value of disclosed information through a thorough analysis of information disclosure demand,” and added, “We will continue to actively improve the public's right to know by continuously increasing the corporation’s original document disclosure rate.”
