Movie 'Speed Racer' Christian Oliver Dies in Light Aircraft Accident
Christian Oliver, a German actor who appeared in the Hollywood film 'Speed Racer,' died in a light aircraft crash.
On the 5th (local time), according to AP News and the US daily The New York Times (NYT), the police of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, a Caribbean island nation, reported that a plane crash occurred west of Petit Nevis Island the previous day, resulting in the deaths of Oliver and his two daughters, aged 10 and 12.
It is understood that a total of four people, including the pilot, died.
The aircraft was a single-engine light plane, but the exact cause of the accident has not been disclosed.
Oliver is well known in Korea for his role in the 2008 film 'Speed Racer,' directed by the Wachowskis. The film attracted attention as the Hollywood debut of singer and actor Bi.
