Gumi City in Gyeongbuk is overflowing with warmth and happiness from the valuable sharing received from all walks of life since the beginning of the Year of the Gapjin.
The ‘Gumi City Social Welfare Administration Research Association’ (President Hwang Eun-chae), a group of social welfare public officials in Gumi City, gathered their sincere contributions and donated 2 million won to help neighbors, adding warmth to the ‘Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign.’
Nine Company in Goryeong County (CEO Kim Jong-hyun) donated 200 electric mats (worth approximately 32 million won) directly produced by the company to social welfare facilities, helping vulnerable groups stay warm during the winter. Additionally, the Re-Gumi Chungcheong Hometown Association (President Lee Won-do) donated 1 million won raised from membership fees as a contribution to help neighbors.
An Jin-hee, Director of the Social Welfare Bureau, stated, “The donated funds and goods will be properly delivered to neighbors in need within the community, and the city will make more meticulous efforts to find and care for neighbors requiring assistance.”
