Appointment of Ahn Jong-hyuk, Head of Business Planning Division, as Executive Director of Export-Import Bank
The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on the 29th that Ahn Jong-hyeok (安鍾爀), Head of the Management Planning Division, has been appointed as the new Executive Director. Ahn's term as Executive Director will begin on the 30th.
Ahn is a planning and credit, restructuring expert who has served in key positions at the bank for over 30 years since 1993, including Head of the Management Planning Division, Head of the Innovation Growth Finance Division, Director of Corporate Restructuring Office, and Director of International Investment Office.
Ahn has demonstrated outstanding capabilities in planning and strategic management tasks, and has achieved concrete results in restructuring sectors such as shipbuilding, shipping, and aviation industries, according to internal evaluations. Since his appointment as Head of the Innovation Growth Finance Division in January 2021, he has been responsible for supporting export financing for advanced strategic industries to secure new growth engines for the Korean economy and foster future growth industries.
