Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, Encouragement Award in the Second Half Active Administration Best Practice Competition
Achievement of Winning 4 Consecutive Awards
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 29th that it won the Encouragement Award at the Ministry of Education's '2023 Second Half Active Administration Best Practices Competition.'
The Ministry of Education's Active Administration Best Practices Competition is held semiannually to foster a culture of active administration and discover various excellent cases.
Among all city and provincial offices of education, a total of 30 excellent cases were submitted for this second half competition, with the city office submitting two active administration best practice cases.
Among them, the case submitted by Officer Park Hyun-soo titled 'Integrating School Telephone Carriers to Protect Staff Human Rights and Save 7.5 Billion KRW in Budget!' advanced to the finals and won the Encouragement Award.
Notably, Officer Park received the Encouragement Award for the second consecutive time, following the award in the first half of this year’s Ministry of Education Active Administration Best Practices Competition, becoming a model of active administration.
The city office of education has achieved record-high awards in the 2023 first half competition (including the Grand Prize and two Encouragement Awards) and has consecutively won awards four times from the 2022 first half Ministry of Education Active Administration Best Practices Competition through this competition, showing fruitful results.
