Shinhan Card Executes Organizational Restructuring... Emphasizing "Solid Management and Sustainable Growth"
Shinhan Card announced on the 28th that it has carried out an organizational restructuring focused on establishing an emergency management system for sound management and strengthening future competitiveness for sustainable growth.
To enhance the execution of the 2024 management strategy and improve agility, Shinhan Card streamlined its existing 7-group system into a 5-group system. A dedicated organization for company-wide cost soundness and innovation was newly established to promote efficient growth.
To diversify the business portfolio based on capital efficiency and to discover and expand new revenue sources, the company plans to strengthen its data and platform business as well as corporate and public sector business areas. Additionally, an innovation organization was newly established to lead future customer experiences through platform-based innovation and digital acceleration.
By introducing DevOps and a matrix system that deploy ICT development and data organizations and personnel forward into business areas for support, digital and data capabilities are structured to be maximized from an enterprise-wide perspective.
To strengthen global business competitiveness and expand company-wide contribution, the global business organization was reorganized under the direct control of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). From the perspective of professional risk management and strengthening internal controls, a dedicated headquarters for post-risk management and a permanent ICT audit organization were also newly established separately.
Regional bases have also been newly transformed into a Hub&Post system to promote collaboration considering the unique characteristics of each region, activate competition between regions, and strengthen meticulous on-site management.
Along with this organizational restructuring, Shinhan Card also conducted executive and department head personnel appointments from the perspective of autonomous and responsible management based on business groups and strengthening performance creation capabilities.
